PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Stateless Books LLC operates statelessbooks.com and sells books and related products directly through this website.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and who may receive it.
We believe that is what a privacy policy should do.
We are not interested in burying you under pages of vague legal language. If you choose to use our site or buy from us, you should be able to understand what happens to the information involved in that transaction.
The basic version is simple:
We collect the information necessary to operate Stateless Books.
We use it to process orders, deliver products, operate the site, communicate with customers, market Stateless Books, prevent fraud, and maintain our business records.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell our customer list.
We do not give our customer database to unrelated companies so they can market their products to you.
If you do not agree with the practices described in this Policy, do not use the site or purchase from Stateless Books.

We do not provide our mailing list to unrelated businesses so they can market their own products to our customers.
7. WEBSITE ANALYTICS
Stateless Books uses Media Giant 360 and Matomo as part of the operation and analytics of the website.
These systems may process information such as:
-
IP address;
-

Stateless Books may use cookies, session identifiers, local storage, and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:
-
maintain a shopping session;

operate checkout;
-
keep customers signed in;
-
remember settings;

maintain customer accounts;
-
prevent fraud;
-
secure the site;

You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies.
If you do, portions of the website may not function correctly.
That may include checkout, customer accounts, remembered preferences, or other functions that depend upon session information.
9. ADVERTISING
Stateless Books advertises through third-party platforms, including Facebook and Meta platforms.
Our customer database is separate from our advertising audiences.
We do not upload our Stateless Books customer list to Facebook or Meta for the purpose of creating Custom Audiences or similar customer-list advertising audiences.
We do not provide customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, purchase histories, or shipping information to Facebook simply because someone purchased from Stateless Books.
Advertising platforms may collect information independently when you use their own websites, applications, networks, or services.
What those companies collect independently is governed by their own practices and agreements with you.
10. WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Stateless Books does not sell customer personal information.
We do not sell:
-
customer lists;
-
email addresses;
-
telephone numbers;
-
shipping addresses;
-
billing information;
-
purchase histories;
-
account information; or
-
other customer records
to data brokers, advertisers, marketing companies, or unrelated businesses.
We also do not provide our customer database to unrelated companies so they can solicit our customers.
That does not mean information is never processed by another company.
An online business cannot process payments, host a website, deliver email, or ship packages without using service providers.
Those relationships are described below.
11. SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may provide information to companies that perform specific services for Stateless Books.
They receive information because we need them to perform that function.
Stripe
Stripe processes payment information.
Shippo
Shippo may process information necessary to prepare and manage shipments.
United States Postal Service
USPS may receive information necessary to deliver orders.
International Carriers and Postal Systems
International orders may require us to provide information to foreign postal operators, shipping carriers, customs systems, customs authorities, or other entities involved in international delivery.
Media Giant
Media Giant provides hosting and technical infrastructure used to operate Stateless Books.
Email Systems
Email infrastructure used by Stateless Books may process information necessary to send transactional and marketing messages.
Ecommerce Infrastructure
Systems involved in checkout, account management, order processing, and website operation may process the information necessary to perform those functions.
Providing information to a service provider so that it can process a payment, host the site, send our email, or deliver your package is not a sale of your information.
12. SHIPPING INFORMATION
To ship a product, we have to tell someone where to send it.
Shipping providers may receive information including:
-
your name;
-
shipping address;
-
telephone number;
-
email address where necessary;
-
package information;
-
order information necessary for customs; and
-
other information required for delivery.
For international shipments, information may also be provided to customs authorities, postal systems, carriers, brokers, or other entities involved in moving a package across a border.
We do not control what a government, customs authority, carrier, or postal service requires as a condition of transporting a package through its systems.
13. CONTESTS, GIVEAWAYS, AND PROMOTIONS
Stateless Books may operate contests, giveaways, or other promotions.
We may collect information such as:
-
your name;
-
email address; and
-
telephone number.
We may use that information to:
-
operate the promotion;
-
validate entries;
-
prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries;
-
contact participants;
-
select and contact winners;
-
deliver prizes;
-
maintain records; and
-
document the outcome of the promotion.
A specific contest or giveaway may contain additional rules.
14. INFORMATION YOU GIVE US TO PUBLISH
Some information provided to Stateless Books is not intended to remain private.
If you give us information specifically so that we can publish it, we are going to treat it as material intended for publication.
The Founders Edition of The Blueprint for a Stateless Society is an example.
A Founder may provide a name, statement, line of text, or other material specifically for inclusion in the Founders Appendix.
That information is being provided to us to publish.
By submitting material for that purpose, you authorize Stateless Books to reproduce, publish, distribute, archive, and include that material in applicable versions and editions of the work.
That may include:
-
hardcover editions;
-
softcover editions;
-
digital editions;
-
future editions;
-
archival copies;
-
electronic files; and
-
other versions of the publication.
Once something has been printed, distributed, downloaded, archived, or otherwise published, it may be impossible to retrieve every copy or remove the material from versions already in circulation.
A privacy request does not make a printed book cease to exist.
If you do not want information made public, do not submit it to us for publication.
15. RETENTION OF INFORMATION
Different information is retained for different reasons and for different periods.
We do not apply one arbitrary deletion date to everything.
Order and transaction information may be retained for purposes including:
-
accounting;
-
taxes;
-
fraud prevention;
-
customer service;
-
disputes;
-
chargebacks;
-
recordkeeping; and
-
legal claims.
Customer-account information may remain while the account exists and for a reasonable period afterward.
Customer-service communications may be retained when useful for documenting or resolving an issue.
Marketing information may be retained while you remain subscribed.
If you unsubscribe, we may retain enough information to remember the unsubscribe request so that we do not accidentally add you back.
Contest information may be retained as necessary to document the promotion.
Material intentionally submitted for publication may remain permanently as part of the publication, archival record, or history of the project.
We may retain other information when we have a legitimate business, security, recordkeeping, or legal reason for doing so.
16. SECURITY
Stateless Books uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect customer information and the systems used to process it.
We also rely upon specialized service providers for functions such as:
-
payment processing;
-
hosting;
-
ecommerce;
-
email delivery; and
-
shipping.
No website, database, payment system, network, server, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We therefore do not promise that unauthorized access, technical failure, interception, or another security incident can never occur.
17. REQUESTS CONCERNING YOUR INFORMATION
You may contact Stateless Books at:
support@statelessbooks.com
with questions or requests concerning information associated with you.
We may require enough information to confirm who you are before providing, changing, or deleting account or customer information.
We will evaluate requests based upon:
-
the information involved;
-
the purpose for which we have it;
-
our business and recordkeeping requirements;
-
our agreements with you;
-
security considerations;
-
the rights of other people; and
-
legal obligations that Stateless Books determines apply to it.
This Privacy Policy does not voluntarily create a general right to demand access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, erasure, or any other privacy right merely because another jurisdiction claims to provide one.
If we can reasonably honor a request and choose to do so, we may.
That does not mean we have accepted a general legal obligation to do so in every circumstance or under the laws of every jurisdiction.
We may refuse a request where, among other things, compliance would require us to:
-
destroy transaction or accounting records we need to retain;
-
interfere with another person’s privacy;
-
compromise security;
-
disclose confidential business information;
-
impair fraud-prevention systems;
-
prejudice an existing or anticipated dispute;
-
remove material already intentionally published; or
-
accept an obligation to which Stateless Books has not agreed.
18. JURISDICTION AND VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION
Stateless Books LLC is a Florida company operating from the United States.
We conduct our business under the laws and obligations we have accepted in Florida and the United States.
We do not voluntarily submit Stateless Books to the laws, regulatory systems, administrative rules, agencies, or claimed jurisdiction of every government from whose territory a person may access the Internet.
The Internet crosses political borders.
Your decision to visit our website from another jurisdiction does not constitute our agreement to be governed by that jurisdiction.
Your decision to purchase a product from Stateless Books likewise does not create our consent to laws, regulations, agencies, legal obligations, or political authority that we have not voluntarily accepted.
Stateless Books determines the terms on which it is willing to associate and transact with its customers.
Those terms are stated on this website.
If the laws imposed upon you by your jurisdiction conflict with these terms, do not purchase from us.
If your jurisdiction claims that you possess a non-waivable right, remedy, regulatory protection, or entitlement that materially conflicts with the terms under which Stateless Books is willing to transact, then our position is simple:
Do not enter into the transaction.
We are not asking you to surrender a right that you believe you possess.
We are telling you the conditions under which we are willing to associate.
If those conditions are incompatible, there should be no transaction.
Stateless Books does not consent to doing business on materially different terms merely because someone in another jurisdiction chooses to access our website.
If we know before completing a transaction that completing it would require Stateless Books to accept a legal, regulatory, contractual, or administrative obligation that we are unwilling to accept, we reserve the right to:
-
refuse the order;
-
cancel the order;
-
refund the transaction; or
-
refuse future transactions.
If you nevertheless access the site or attempt to place an order from such a jurisdiction, you do so at your own risk.
Nothing about our technical ability to receive your order should be interpreted as voluntary consent to the authority of your government.
Nothing about our willingness to place a book into the international postal system should be interpreted as voluntary submission to the jurisdiction of every country through which that book might travel.
Nothing about your unilateral decision to visit statelessbooks.com creates an agreement by Stateless Books to recognize laws or governmental authority we have not accepted.
19. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Stateless Books sells and ships books internationally.
We do not undertake responsibility for determining every law, regulation, censorship rule, import restriction, publication restriction, privacy rule, consumer regulation, or other government requirement that may apply to you where you live.
You are responsible for determining whether you are permitted to:
-
access this website;
-
purchase from Stateless Books;
-
import our products;
-
possess our products;
-
receive our communications; or
-
otherwise transact with us.
If your government prohibits you from doing any of those things, that is a matter between you and your government.
If a government, customs authority, postal operator, carrier, payment system, Internet provider, network operator, or other third party:
-
blocks our website;
-
blocks a payment;
-
refuses a shipment;
-
delays a shipment;
-
confiscates a shipment;
-
returns a shipment;
-
censors a publication;
-
restricts access to our material; or
-
otherwise interferes with the transaction,
that interference does not constitute voluntary agreement by Stateless Books with the authority, legitimacy, or policy being enforced.
We are not responsible for the political or regulatory environment in which you choose to place an order.
20. GOVERNMENT AND LEGAL DEMANDS
Stateless Books does not treat every demand for customer information as automatically legitimate merely because it comes from a government or institution claiming authority.
We may disclose or preserve information where we determine that we are legally required to do so under obligations applicable to Stateless Books.
We may also preserve or use information when reasonably necessary to:
-
prevent fraud;
-
investigate abuse;
-
protect our systems;
-
protect our customers;
-
enforce our agreements;
-
defend ourselves;
-
pursue legal claims; or
-
respond to a dispute.
Where appropriate, we may challenge, reject, narrow, or require formal legal process before responding to a demand for customer information.
The fact that someone asks does not mean we automatically comply.
21. DO NOT TRACK, GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL, AND SIMILAR SIGNALS
Some browsers and devices transmit preference signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Stateless Books does not sell customer information and does not provide its customer database to unrelated companies for their independent marketing.
We do not currently treat browser-generated preference signals as a general instruction governing all processing conducted by Stateless Books.
Our data practices are described in this Privacy Policy.
22. CHILDREN
Stateless Books is a general-audience bookstore.
Our website is not designed as a children’s service.
We do not require a visitor to be 18 years old merely to browse a bookstore or read about our books.
We do not intentionally operate the site for the purpose of soliciting personal information from young children.
If we become aware that information has been submitted by a child in circumstances that require us to take action under obligations applicable to Stateless Books, we may take appropriate steps.
23. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our website may link to, embed, or interact with services operated by other companies.
Once you interact directly with another company, its own systems, terms, and privacy practices may apply.
Stateless Books does not control what another company independently does with information you provide directly to it or that it independently collects through its own service.
24. BUSINESS TRANSFERS
If Stateless Books is sold, merged, financed, reorganized, transferred, or otherwise undergoes a change in ownership or control, information associated with the business may be transferred with the business or its assets.
A customer database is part of the operational history of a business.
Such a transfer is not a sale of customer information to a data broker or advertising company.
25. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may modify this Privacy Policy when our business, website, technology, service providers, or practices change.
The current version will be published on statelessbooks.com.
The effective date at the top of this Policy identifies when that version became effective.
Continued use of the site after a revised Policy is published means you are continuing to interact with Stateless Books under the practices then disclosed.
If you do not agree with a revised Policy, stop using the site and do not make additional purchases.
26. THE BOTTOM LINE

We collect the information necessary to run it.
We use that information to:
-

market our own work;
